Description

The citadel of Amman, This place has such an incredible about of history with such a varied cultures leaving their mark on it. its outer walls are ancient bronze age ammonite, its temple is Roman dedicated to Hercules, its ruined village is Byzantine, and its palace is Umayyad , on the surrounding hillside is an Ottoman era village.

on a side note this shot was taking in spring, Jordan experiences a three month green season.
