At the end of last year I set out on a small project, which was the exploration of a single object in order to try to create a story for it, to be more specific I took a 60 year old textile machine(in its factory) and photographed it as close as I could using my 1/3rd cropped sensor camera and a 50mm prime 1.4f lens.
The factory itself has been producing a form of cultural identity for more than 50 years and now it is slowly closing down due to low demand because the Jordanian population is becoming more globalised.
These remind me of photos from my great grandparents old hosiery mill in Mississippi. They made socks and stockings. we still have a couple pairs of the baby socks that they made there.
