The Gothic Wawel Castle in Krakow in Poland was built at the behest of Casimir III the Great and consists of a number of structures situated around the central courtyard. In the 14th century it was rebuilt by Jogaila and Jadwiga of Poland.

After World War I, the authorities of the newly independent Polish Second Republic decided that Wawel Castle was to become a representative building of the Polish state and would be used by the Governor and later by the President himself.[4] In 1921 the Polish Parliament passed a resolution which gave Wawel official status as the residence of the President of Poland. Following the ravages of World War II, by the decree of the State National Council, Wawel Castle became a national museum.

wow, this is great! I love the light and shadow at the gate.

btw. some of your other night shots of Krakow seemed to be out of focus in full size - or do I need glasses :?

Thanks :) im glad you like it, this was my favorite shot of the night, I didnt have a tripod so i had to use my backpack lol

and yeah I think its a combination of the resize i do in PS and also i suspect my glass(10-22mm) has had it, even some of my day shots are starting to look soft.

I'm actually planning to upgrade very soon, I'm waiting on the info for the 5d mark 3!

make the right choice!
Have you heard of the lightfield photography? Lytro is bringing out a handheld camera soon. It seems to be that small - I wonder if they can include it into DSLR cameras or into a DSLR-lens. That would be interesting...

That looks very interesting, although the pictures in the gallery seam to be really noisy and low quality! and for that price you could probably buy the canon G12!

although that proabably wouldnt stop me from buying one lol

that looks like a fun toy...

you're right about the quality but I'd figure it would be much better if they'd include it into a dslr-compatible lens. Give'em a couple more years to improve it...
