This is the courtyeard of Sultan Hassan Mosque, a 700 year old mosque, located in the heart of Cairo Egypt.

Great shot. The only way to make the huge size visible is to have someone standing there

(Which I did but the shot was blurred). You went earlier than me in the day; all that light!
P.S. Did you also go to Ar-Rifai next door? Dark, rich and great atmosphere (I preferred it to Sultan Hassan,actually).

oooh i loooooooved that place!!!

so many beautiful and reflective places to visit in Egypt! the only one place i really disliked was Muhammad Ali's mosque in the citadel

it looked like a French renaissance palace!!! i dislike it when we stray from our heritage and copy others, which it what us as Jordanians are doing at the moment! :/
