A friend and I decided to visit some of the holy sights of Jordan, This is what you see when visiting the almost hidden resting Place of the Prophet Asher; brother to the Prophet Joseph as well as father to one of the twelve tribes of Israel!
We had to take a dirt path off a main road-up a VERY small ascending winding road to reach this place, and oh! how green it was! so beautiful! Midway up the hill is a small square building that is used as a mosque and behind that, below the ground in a quiet cave is the Prophet's resting place. Shading the entrance is an Eight hundred year old tree and a younger beautiful blossoming fig tree, with its petals falling ever so gently to the ground... |
